Rival Crock-Pot SCCPVL610-S Cook & Carry

What we like: For Crock-Pot brand, there’s widely accepted for making original slow cookers which are praised for basic and sturdy. This newer version, Crock-Pot SCCPVL610-S is truly made for being carried away. The good feature is the locking lids which can be found in Cook & Carry line product. These helpful lock clips make carry to other places easier without leaving a mess in your vehicle. Also, the rubber gasket is made for double preventing falling down from the back seat.

The Countdown Digital Timer setting is a useful function. This programmable digital control make easy to set cooking time from 30 minutes to 20 hours intervals. It also has automatic warm feature; the temperature will shift to ‘warm’ cook when reaching the setting time. So, you don’t have to worry that the food will overcook or food burnt. Unlike some cooking pots, it has “Off” setting that no need to unplug it when finishing.

Many reviewers are pleased for breeze cleaning even the burnt bottom. The removable oval stoneware insert is dishwasher-safe, too. The glass lid also has rubber seal for preventing the steam out and won’t let the lid opens while cooking. This Crock-Pot model is available for three temp basic levels: high, low and warm.

What we don’t like: We’ve found some different points of complaint about temperature. Though some users claimed that it get hot too early or too slowly, some of them said that the pot doesn’t reach enough temperature. (However, once it gets going it is able to maintain the temperature well). After asking the manufacturer, there’s possible that some reviewers may misuse or don’t follow the instructions strictly. Another complaint, some reviewers said that the rubber rims around the pot seems to remain food smell after cooking some odor recipes, such as onions.

The Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a portable slow cooker, that will ensure to have a good trip in your car, this Crock-Pot is strongly recommended. Or, if you need a basic beneficial-sized cooker which has programmable setting and keep warm function (and it shouldn’t break your bank), this cooking pot is still be recommended.
