For healthy-concerned consumers who looking for the smart programmable multi-purpose cooker which is organically safe to use, the VitaClay VM7900 shouldnít be missed for all the reasons.

VitaClay VM7900-8 / VM7900-6

What we like: This multicooker is the improved version of the award-winning VitaClay Chef Gourmet Rice and Slow Cooker Pro. For VitaClay, the most adorable distinction is the richer tastes of the foods and safe of uses as it has no leaching chemicals. As the insert is made of simply natural, unglazed, Zisha clay, it help preserves more nutrients, enzymes and vitamins than those normal aluminum pots.

Yet, this kind of traditional pot is great for keeping the high temperature than normal pots -about times faster than normal slow cooker. Another notice, this cooker is a real eco-friendly some. It requires quite less water and 50% less energy for cooking.

This multi-cooker is versatile for those health-conscious. It can be used as a slow cooker, rice cooker, as well as yogurt and cheese maker. This new version comes with selected mode options, such as stew, roast, soup, porridge, brown rice, sweet rice and probiotic-rich yogurt. The large digital touchpad is quite simple to set. The cooking times can be program from 10 minutes up to 5 hours and has automatic keep-warm up for 20 hours.

It comes with double lids Ėthe inside the insert and the outside one. This clever design is good for maintaining the temperature and saving energy. This model has 2 sizes, 6 cups (VM7900-6) and 8 cups (VM7900-8). Capacity is up to your needs. However, for general uses, the 8 cups or 4.2 quarts size seems more useful for covering all of the duties than 6 cup or 3.2 quarts for being a slow cooker, unless youíll only need a rice cooker.

For other reviews, the VitaClay is chosen from SHAPE magazine as Favorite Multi-tasker. Most reviewers are satisfied for lead-free which is tested by independent 3rd party lab.

What we don't like: As the insert pot is the clay, itís more fragile and can be broken easier than normal cookers. Some reviewers said that the rice canít be set warm over night like other rice cookers, as it may turn to mush and burn on the bottom. They suggested letting it soak in water to get rid of any burnt rice in pot.

The bottom line: In our point of views, this VM1900 is an intelligent combination of old wisdom and innovative technology. What youíll get is the convenience, tasty and safety from hazardous chemicals. This cooker is espectially recommended for those who think about having healthy homemade foods, like nutritional rice, fresh yogurt and healthy slow cooking recipes. Moreover, itís real eco-friendly product, which lets saving energy and time for cooking at least a half of normal treats. Overall, itís truly interesting green innovation for daily life.
